Itsu appoints Landen Prescott Brann as chief financial officer

Japanese sushi bar chain, Itsu, has hired Landen Prescott Brann as chief financial officer in a bid to help aid its future growth plans.

Prescott Brann has previously worked for the Hospital Club in London and PepsiCo, where he had similar roles working with finances, reports William Reed Business Media's M&C Report.

Itsu is hoping to extend its 31 restaurants to 35 by the end of March with new premises near Baker Street and Horseferry Road.

Its expansion plans stretch to a more long term future, however, with hopes to reach the 40 mark by the end of this year.

Currently all Itsu sites are in London, but future openings will be across the UK with the possibility of one in Paris.

Itsu started in Chelsea in 1997 and is run by Gerard Loughran, who is responsible for the development of the Pret a Manger brand.

With a healthy eating ethos and a focus on sustainability, Itsu has appealed to the Soho lunch crowd and achieved success through it.
